In 2000, always looking for new challenges, Jean Luc Thunevin and Murielle
Andraud decided to keep a plot from the Château Valandraud vineyard and started
the production of a white wine: Blanc de Valandraud was born.
It is the second wine of Chateau Valandraud blanc.
Each year, the blending of Virginie de Valandraud is different and confirmed after several tastings before the bottling.
Soils: clayey limestone
Average age of the vines: 30 years
Grape varieties: 50% Semillon, 40% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Sauvignon Gris
Ageing: one part during 8 months in 2 & 3 years barrels and the other part during 8 months in stainless steel tanks
